Camel Safaris in Tanzania

Camel safaris are the ultimate wilderness experience. They allow you to go deep into the heart of the bush where you can observe closely giraffes, zebras and many other animals without sitting in a vehicle all day, track elephants on foot and get in touch with the local communities that are perfectly knowledgeable of their rich cultural and natural heritage.

Experience the thrill of camel back-riding across the African savannah, with a small group of friends or even alone, surrounded by tradition, wildlife and an outstanding scenery. Our safari combine camel back-riding and walking throughout popular areas with a few that are seldom seen by western visitors. They offer a good alternative if you want to get up close to the animals of the African bush and to the local communities.

Our camel safaris range from 1 - 7 days and are run throughout Maasailand, in the Lengai-Meru-Kilimanjaro Mountain Complex. Choosing to walk or ride the camels, bedecked with comfortable and modern leather saddles, you will set off around the savannah with views as stretching as far as you can see. The pace is leisurely and, on the way, wildlife and birds will be pointed out as well as plants and trees traditionally used by the Maasai.
